Bottleneck

May 12 through May 25

You can enhance your understanding by applying the Houses these signs and Planets are falling into in your Natal Chart. I am happy to help you with figuring that out, at no cost to you— just shoot me an email!!

ONGOING TRANSITS:

Jupiter Pushing into the Nodal Bends: Jupiter will reach this 90˚ angle with the transiting Eclipse Points on May 18th, around 11AM EST.

Our beliefs, cultural conditioning, and perspectives will trigger the Nodal axis. With Jupiter in Gemini, we have been accumulating a variety of knowledge and experiences, but square the Nodes, we are presented with a challenge. Are we conducting real growth or just acquiring knowledge? Mutable signs often face a problem of excessive running away or putting off. We might be gaining these experiences and/or this knowledge in order to appease someone, satisfy ourselves temporarily, or distract ourselves. Are we avoiding the real changes we need to make?

With the Virgo South Node we are prompted to release perfectionism and excessive detail-focus. This fussiness distracts from the path forward represented by the Pisces North Node. Surrender, compassion, trust, and embracing the intangible.

We experience a crisis of belief and hope it leads to an epiphany. The veil of subjective truths is exposed, and our beliefs are contested. Does our mindset lead us toward growth or further fragmentation? At some point words fail and we must simply listen to our feelings and our bodies. Look towards the unexplainable. The Intuition. Allow yourself to be whisked away into belief, in compassion, and choose your truth without fear, perfectionism, shame, or disingenuousness.

This aspect will be much more distinct for those with placements between 23-27˚ of the Mutable signs [Gemini, Pisces, Virgo, Sagittarius].

NEW TRANSITS:

Scorpio Full MOON: This Moon reaches maximum luminosity on May 12th, @ 12:55 PM EST. A powerful Full Moon with themes of property, self-worth, value, and resources. We come face to face with the content of our soul. What is the quality of the being right now? Have we filled ourselves with good things or bad things? These feelings will set the tone for the week. Is what I’m doing and dealing with worthwhile?

A big part of Scorpio is manifesting our fears. The real substance of something will be highlighted, exposing the state of exchanges. With Mars in Leo, we deal with a lot of fixed energy and deal with stable forms of expression; with circumstances which are rooted in place. If we are to experience conflict, it will be rather “stuck in place”.

Pluto-Mercury Square: This aspect will peak right as Monday gets going, and then fade quickly the following days.

Power dynamics and hidden desire will be on the mind. Deeply personal and private desires influence our thinking, decision-making, and distort our routine (if not eventually). We are compelled to consider them. Consider the dynamic between social equity and resources. On the micro/macro-cosmic levels: What forces influence the current zeitgeist and what steps can we take to find security within this social atmosphere?

So we will all be taking time to set up our basic routines with our deep hidden desires in consideration. Pluto is retrograde, so this will be a lot more about influencing the self and inner world with our routines rather than others. More distinctly for those with early Fixed placement [Taurus, Scorpio, Leo, Aquarius].

Mercury-Mars Square: We will really feel this aspect from May 16-19, peaking on the 18th.

Characterized by sharp words and hasty movements. We may find ourselves in a traffic jam of sorts. We have more energy and urgency than we have time and resources. The slower movements of Mercury in Taurus create tension with the powerful drive of Mars in Leo.

Sun Enters Gemini; Gemini Season Begins: On May 20th the Sun will make its transit through the Twin constellation, Gemini. Castor & Pollux. Gemini season harkens the transition from Spring to Summer in the Northern Hemisphere.

These seasonal transition Signs, split the weather, and with the Sun, split the mentality. The level of moisture will decrease, where water can be thought of as emotions. Gemini is a sign which can separate the personal view from the objective view, thus taking emotion and instinct out of thinking. This sign focuses on tasks, and therefore takes action, but from a place of logic.

During this season the Sun illuminates our Gemini House. An area of life with little to no bias, and a sense of levity or wit.

Pluto-Sun Trine: Once the Sun enters Gemini, it will strengthen its trine to Pluto by entering the same element as Pluto, Air. We start off Gemini season with more of that Plutonian consideration. An introspective review of power and desire imbues the expressive mind in a more elegant manner. This aspect will peak in its influence from May 22-26th, culminating on the 24th. What we get is a chance to face the darker parts of our minds and realities with charm and wit, resulting in a refining of that inner relationship with what we keep hidden.

Mercury-Uranus Conjunction: This transit peaks late May 24th, EST. With a strong influence from 23rd to the 25th. We actually reconcile with a restructuring to our routines that may feel more confining, but is in the best interest to our long-term homeostasis. There is likely a surge of nervous energy allowing us to break-free, but ultimately we will be setting an intention toward patterns that support our expression with longevity. Expect some struggle. Potentially some contesting with a superior or cultural conditioning imposed by authority. Again, do not succumb to nervous system overload, you must use that energy or be struck down by the compulsion to repress. Uranus is liberating where Mercury is agile. These two work together to help us transcend structural boundaries permanently or temporarily, with more or less elegance.

Sun-Uranus Conjunction: This aspect is characterized by sudden expression. The desire to release the structural and cerebral confines around our creative potential. This aspect will be the strongest from May 15-20th, peaking on May 17th.

We will set the tone for the Sun-Uranus cycle here given this is a New Moon phase for this planetary relationship. Rebellious behavior by/toward leaders, unexpected creative choices, and sudden visions. Really take extra notice about what jolts through the mind, and the urges that are brought up. We will feel extra nervousness. Nervous energy is not a productive kind of energy. It often drives people to repress feelings, which leads to depressive episodes. Especially around the aforementioned dates, you must channel the nervous energy toward some form of creative and expressive liberation. Otherwise you will overload your system, leading to tactless unpredictability or sudden exhaustion.

Venus-Mars Trine: We feel the strength of this aspect starting May 15th through the rest of this two-week period into May 26th, only fading in strength quickly after then.

Venus arouses and gathers our energy, Mars initiates that energy into action. In this case they are able to interact productively, which supports Venus in a difficult sign. We can better act on more impulsive application of arousal and action. Going with instincts and intuition as everyone will be inclined to do so, and even mistakes could be taken with more understanding, but don’t bank on that. These are still fire signs; Venus in Aries, Mars in Leo.

Saturn Enters Aries; conjoins Neptune in Aries: Saturn, the planet of Time. The original planet of death. The master of material and structural persistence. A planet concerned with longevity and long-term planning. Moving into Aries, a sign of impulsivity, victory, action, and identity. This is considered Saturn’s Fall; a poor placement for Saturn.

Saturn will enter Aries May 24th, 2025 @ 11:35 PM EST. It will retrograde back into Pisces on September 1st, then re-enter Aries on February 13, 2026. So we will have a restructuring of our lives on the basis of self-refinement and intuitive inner guidance. This occurs in the same zone as the Venus in Aries retrograde if you want to consider where that showed up in your life.

So Saturn moving into Aries will be the karma-bringer for leaders/those in charge/decision-makers. We will see “make-or-break” situations for Arian industries like those dealing with meat, weapons, and metal. We will see more concrete implementation of rules around identity. This could be legitimizing or restricting for things like transgender identities/pronouns/name changes (including marriages); situations we’ve already seen occur, with even more distinct events.

Then, Saturn and Neptune will immediately revisit a conjunction in the same sign. Now Aries instead of Pisces. This aspect won’t perfect until February 20, 2026. For now, we will feel the foreboding of boundary dissolving. The Geopolitical atmosphere of Gaza and Ukraine, likely coming into more distinct culminations closer to the conjunction. Russia and its neighbors are closely tied with Saturn-Neptune aspects, as the conjunction is indicative of real communist governments. Rather than pseudo-communist governments like China, which are something more closely tied with their belief systems rather than economic structure. The Russian Region always sees major events like changing leadership and reincorporation of the entity (USSR to Russia for example) with Saturn-Neptune aspects. A Conjunction would then be arguably the most powerful aspect possible.

The overarching theme here is transcending structures in dissolution of the ego, in order to come into a structure more directly in line with our identity, our goals, and what we are instinctually driven toward.

*The date ranges reflect the Moon being a majority in the given sign during a 5am-11:59pm EST range. Moon Signs naturally set each other up for a successful procession through life's subtle developments. The Moon functions as a catalyst and distributor of the energies from the other Celestial bodies. You might take an extra note of when the Moon is entering important Houses in your Chart, like your First House/Rising Sign when you will be closely connected with your emotions.

Moon in Scorpio - May 12: These Moons are good for getting more deeply in touch. Entering a place of realness with ourselves or others. This is always a good time to clean, go through our accumulations, and assess our emotional body. This will be a Full Moon as noted.

Moon in Sagittarius - May 13-15: These Moons have us seek more stimulation with the intention to uplift. So lean into the urge to explore or experience with more intuition.

Moon in Capricorn - May 15-17: The furthest sign from the Moon’s home in Cancer, these moons are colder. We can utilize these days for more pragmatic and practical tasks. We might watch out for lacking sympathies; to ourselves and others.

Moon in Aquarius - May 18-19: Be wary during these days where an eccentric and analytical manner adds to the nervous atmosphere. Stirrups, slips of the tongue, and the “weird” are themes.

Moon in Pisces - May 20-22: Generally vulnerable times in which people either feel at one with the universal or saddened by the heightened emotional field. The Moon will be decreasing in light, and less than 50% full, so we can expect the average amount of energy to diminish until the New Moon in Gemini.

Moon in Aries - May 22-24: This Moon will increase a sense of urgency and impulsivity coming from the emotional body. This will also greatly activate the Venus mars Trine going on this week.

Moon in Taurus - May 24-26: A good place for the Moon when we can take care of ourselves or celebrate. This would be a good time for some renewal and release celebration.

The Sun’s movement into Gemini will improve the other conditions going on this pair of weeks. The Sun in Gemini will better work with the Venus-Mars trine, diminish the nervous Uranian energy, and offer us a more adaptable mindset. Again the Sun enters Gemini on May 20th. Bonus: Mercury enters Gemini on May 26th which will be even better as Mercury is at home in Gemini.

This is a good week to burn off extra energy and keep a mindful pace. There will be haste in the air which we can mitigate by channeling that energy with planning and intention.

There is the distinct possibility we come to a frustrating moment in which a demand for movement is at odds with either a heaviness, sluggishness, lack of resources, or self-centeredness.

Time and space will be flowing slowly, but gradually increase. Time that initial time to prioritize quality and practice grace. Once things are moving faster you’ll be glad you leaned into planning over bottlenecking and stressing.
